Try-outs for a comic

This year I've been working on a scenario for a comic book.
After writing, it's time for drawing!

Here are some very first try-outs I made.
I won't tell too much about the story yet, but I'll give you a little glimpse.

Main characters of the story are Anna (a lonesome girl whithout a voice)
and Vincent (a famous artist who's desperately looking for inspiration).
The story takes place in an old printing house that is on the verge of a breakdown.

 Anna makes new friends.

Anna's grandfather (who keeps dreaming of his deceased wife,
and at one point falls out of a window).

Windowdrawing RITCS - Brussels

Last week I made a windowdrawing at the RITCS (Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema & Sound).
I drew passers-by, a range of characters I saw in Brussels.

Below the sketches.

Drawing in bars - Brussels

Chicago café (Brussels): two friends arguing about a barbershop, while eating fries.

Garage à manger (Elsene): Endless waiting on never coming cake.

Book illustrations for 'Een koekje van eigen deeg'

A few months ago I got a really nice question from children's book author Nadja
Van Sever. She asked me to illustrate her latest book: Een koekje van eigen deeg.

The main character is Katlijn, a bully who enters a fairytale world where she has
to face some difficult challenges. She begins an epic journey of self-discovery.

Mug parade

Hi there! A while ago I tried something new: I made some print designs for mugs. I did stick to my favorite materials: ecoline and black ink.

Number one: A parade of teapots, dishes, bowls,
cups, sugar cubes, tea bags and a cat!

Number two: someone is sleeping in a trumpet
(nothing nicer than drawing trumpets)

Number three: Back to the Nordstation in Brussels! This lady is also present
on one of the windows in this station (this one and other illustrations are hanging
there since February last year :)). Now she's also resting on a mug.
